What is this site about?

This site is by and for game developers, both professional and independent, of any profession. Programmers, artists, designers, producers, audio guys, and business / legal people are all welcome to come and ask or answer questions. We want to create a place where game developers of all practices are not afraid to ask questions, and where beginners can comfortably go to get advice from those more knowledgeable.
